We are a non-theistic religion or church dedicated to sound, rhythm, social gatherings, and dance - for reasons of personal enlightenment, social well being, and a connection to the greater universe through music, which is what we believe is the common language that binds all sentient life.
Tenets:
- There is no higher power. Each individual is accountable for their own choices, and guides their own destiny.
- No individual will ever be judged based on their race, home of origin, gender identity, economic class, or physical appearance. Intolerance will not be tolerated in accordance with Plato's Paradox of Tolerance.
- You should not act negatively on any individual who is not negatively acting on anyone else, and have respect for other individual's choices that have no direct bearing on your own, while recognizing the line between a choice impacting only the individual and the community as a whole.
- As scientific knowledge evolves, so should our beliefs. We recognize how little we actually know about how the universe works, and we should never stop solving life's current unknowns.
- Factual information, math, physics, and all other scientific proofs should always eliminate superstition, no matter how deeply rooted or traditional the superstitious beliefs are.
- We accept all denominations to our events, and no private or personal traditions or relationships (as long as they are consenting/legal) would ever interfere with being able to attend gatherings.
Philosophy:
We hear and feel random noises and vibrations in almost any environment without taking notice, but as soon as those sounds are arranged into a mathematical pattern, we subconsciously start moving our bodies, if even a simple toe or head movement. We recognize repetition as rhythm, and it has a deep physical connection to us as humans. Over longer periods of time his repetition will guide your physical motion giving your consciousness the freedom to explore your mind without the burden of controlling your body.
History:
We have been gathering at least once a week for many decades in many corners of the world to create, listen, meet, and dance around repetitive music played for prolonged time periods of 6-24 hours. Just as traditional religious followers enjoy the consistency and tradition of weekly service, so do we, and now can be given the same respect and religious protections that other members of the community enjoy.
Our Ceremony:
Gathering, or party, where there is a human DJ controlling sound based on factors such as environment and attendance. Sound should be able to reproduce all frequencies heard by the human ear at a level above the average conversation. Music at service is based on rhythm over melody, and will be presented so the rhythm is continuously blended without stopping throughout the entire event which should go throughout the entire night until the following day, at least once weekly
